dedicated to MINI owners who just can't get enough... you guessed
it... ice cream! We're talking about a four day quest to sample some
of the best ice cream you'll ever enjoy.
And for the real enthusiast, how about topping off the whole trip with MINIs on Top 2009? That's right! This trip is timed so that those interested can wander over to New Hampshire the day before MOT begins OR stay in Bar Harbor overnight and do the full sunrise to sunset MOT experience. The choice is yours! This website will provide all the latest info of the upcoming GREAT Ice Cream Run. Check back frequently, as new information will be added often OR sign up for our mailing list (at right) to get the latest info and important updates emailed directly to your inbox! Since this is a large and complex event, official registration and pre-payment for t-shirts, decals, etc. will be required. Registration will open before the end of 2008 once pricing of t-shirts and decals is established. |

So where did this idea come from? A group of Mid-Atlantic members of NEMINI have a saying.... "It's all about the food". Most of our gatherings revolve around some kind of food, but most often, it's ice cream that we gather to enjoy. In 2007 a group of dedicated, crazy, or maybe just plain hungry MINI owners embarked on The GREAT Ice Cream Run from Florida to Maine, stopping at many great ice cream shops along the way. For 2009, we're changing things up a bit. We've shortened the route, now only going from Virginia to Maine, and selected the best of the best from the original ice cream run. This time around, it's about quality, not quantity, unless of course you want several helpings of ice cream at each place we stop... We hope to work with each of our chosen ice cream shops along the way, to make each stop a bit special. |
