Welcome!  You're at the home of The GREAT Ice Cream Run - a MINI event dedicated to MINI owners who just can't get enough... you guessed it... ice cream! 

TGICR is back! This year's run will be 5 days long and will be a slight change from 2009's route. We've added an extra day to allow time to head a little more inland to include a stop at Penn State's famous Creamery as well as a few other Pennsylvania ice cream shops.

So make your plans to join us from June 20th - 24th. Do the entire run, or just join us for a day or two as we pass through your area.

6/15/11	The Sponsors page has been updated with the names of those companies that have donated give-away items, or items for the charity raffle. Please visit their sites and support them.
5/15/11	In honor of Ryan's MINI Adventure, this year's run will feature some raffles at our evening get-together locations. All money raised will be donated to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Tickets will be available for purchase during the ice cream run.

So where did this idea originally come from anyway?

A group of Mid-Atlantic members of NEMINI have a saying.... "It's all about the food".  Most of our gatherings revolve around some kind of food, but most often, it's ice cream that we gather to enjoy.

In 2007 a group of dedicated, crazy, or maybe just plain hungry MINI owners embarked on The GREAT Ice Cream Run from Florida to Maine, stopping at many great ice cream shops along the way.

For 2009, we changed things up a bit.  We shortened the route, now only going from Virginia to Maine, and selected the best of the best from the original ice cream run.  It was all about quality, not quantity, unless of course you wanted several helpings of ice cream at each place we stopped
